Police said 27-year-old Joshua Garcia died after being shot in the chest. Two other men, ages 39 and 34, were hospitalized in stable condition with gunshot wounds to their legs.
It happened outside a deli grocery at the corner of Clay Avenue and East 174th Street in the Concourse section.
The woman, who was hospitalized with burns all over her body, lived on the 12th floor of a building for seniors that is run by NYCHA.
Surveillance video from the Motto by Hilton on West 24th Street shows a man walk behind the bar and take a bottle off the shelf.
"That means he's not here with permission and he's subject to deportation," legal expert Stuart Slotnick said.
A pickup truck near the elevated subway tracks was also hit.
James Moshier apparently believed the teens were intruders, not pranksters.
Video shows police on the scene at West 137th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard on Thursday.
