A Deerfield Beach man died, and a Lake Worth man was hospitalized after two vehicles collided on northbound I-95 in Pompano Beach, troopers say.
Amy Baker faces aggravated battery and child neglect charges after the I-95 incident, FHP says.
The incident began in Hallandale Beach at around 4:45 p.m. Thursday when officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the Golden Isles Safe Neighborhood District.
A portion of Interstate 95 was completely closed off after power lines fell onto the highway near Downtown Miami on Sunday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
A Be on the Lookout (BOLO) alert has been issued for the suspect's vehicle, which the Florida Highway Patrol only described as a "black Chevrolet."
According to Hollywood Fire Rescue, the crash involving three cars happened on northbound I-95 near Sheridan Street.
Northbound I-95 at 151st Street in Miami-Dade County was shut down due to the investigation but has since opened up.
