According to Chicago police, an unknown driver in a gold sedan heading northbound on Loomis Boulevard ran a red light and hit a silver jeep heading eastbound on 74th Street.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. in the 7400 block of South Loomis Boulevard.
Chicago police said a 14-year-old is charged with a carjacking and robbery in the city's West Englewood neighborhood.
Timothy Johnson, 38, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 6200 block of South Wolcott Avenue.

Chicago police said around 1 a.m. on July 4, 2024, in the 6200 block of South Laflin Street, a 34-year-old man was outside when he was shot in the neck by someone who fled the scene on foot.
Two people bailed out of the car. One was taken into custody soon afterward, but the other remained at large as of just after 5 p.m.
The pursuit was under way on Ada Street just south of 61st Street and on nearby blocks late Tuesday. Kris Habermehl reports from CBS Skywatch.
