Police were investigating a murder-suicide shooting at a gas station Saturday morning in Merrillville, Indiana.
A female was hit by a pickup truck equipped with a snowplow outside the Aldi at 10 W. Lincoln Hwy. on Tuesday morning.
In 2022, after turning to a local dealer and being advised that the vehicles would be a suitable alternative, the department encountered an issue with the vehicle's oil cooler that led to engine failures — each under 15,000 miles.
People lined the streets along the route to honor the fallen soldier.
Andrean High School was placed on a temporary lockdown due to the incident taking place in close proximity.
There was a big police response at the complex on Cleveland Street Sunday night. An officer saw one person fire their gun, before running into the apartment. Officers eventually arrested two people. No one was hurt.
Manager Kate Witte said the flooding was unlike anything she had ever seen.
The pipe burst during the deep freeze sent water cascading into the dining rooms of Asparagus Restaurant in Merrillville. CBS 2's Sara Machi reports.

Initial reports indicated that the child got a hold of the gun and suffered a self-inflicted wound, but police have not confirmed that information.
