Illinois State Police did not release how many people were hurt or the severity of those injuries.
Children were among the three people killed in a fiery crash on I-290 on Wednesday night.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
State police said no injuries were reported. They did not provide further details about the crash.
Illinois State Police said at 7:31 p.m., troopers were called for shots fired on the inbound Eisenhower at 25th Avenue in Broadview.
The truck was hauling 10 pounds of load on southbound Route 83 in the locals in Elmhurst. It is not clear what exactly the truck was hauling.
The crash happened just before midnight on eastbound I-290 at Racine Avenue.
The car was wanted for fleeing and eluding out of west suburban Oak Brook.
Berkely fire officials did not say how long the lanes will be closed but did say the crash was significant.
