Video shot in the early morning hours Sunday showed the outbound lanes closed at Home Avenue in Oak Park.
Illinois State Police did not release how many people were hurt or the severity of those injuries.
The crash happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. on I-290 at South Independence Boulevard.

Illinois State Police said the SUV driver was taken to the hospital with injuries after the crash involving the school bus on the Eisenhower Expressway Friday morning.
