We are in the midst of the first heat wave since late August-Early September of last year. Boston hit 91F yesterday for the 1st day of the 4-day stretch. Worcester and Providence topped off in the upper 80s yesterday.
Today is the beginning of a heat wave! It will be a 4-day stretch of hazy, hot, and humid days.
A slightly more refreshing day is on tap today. Dewpoints will be falling into the 50s today. The lower humidity will be in conjunction with plenty of sunshine. Highs will be flirting with 90F...lower and middle 80s along the coast as a seabreeze kicks in.
Although the region has been spared so far from severe weather, we cannot completely let our guard down.
It is going to be another hot and humid day with highs near 90F. There's a risk of strong to severe storms this afternoon and evening.
Today will be sunny with a few afternoon clouds decorating the sky. Highs will be in the lower 80s except cooler along the coast as a seabreeze will bump temperatures down a notch this afternoon.
The clouds and rain are departing, and when the sun makes its appearance today, the humidity will stay low with dewpoints in the 50s. Highs will be in hover between the lower 70s along the Cape/Islands to as warm as the upper 70s metrowest and southern NH.
The heat will slowly decline, and the dewpoint values will take a downward turn into the 50s. This will happen within the next 24 hours.
The 'Triple-H' (hazy, hot, and humid) is back in a big way today! Yesterday was the hottest day in Boston this year as we reached 93F! Today will be just about the same. Highs will range in the upper 80s for the Cape/Islands while the rest of us will top off in the lower to middle 90s!
Temperatures are heading for the 90s again for many suburbs! Today will be mostly sunny with highs in the middle 80s Cape/Islands...90-95F Boston and the 'burbs. There will be a chance of a some strong storms far north and west after the 4pm hour.
'Triple H'...Hazy, hot, and humid conditions prevail for the next couple of days.
Today will be sunny to start yet cloudier at its finish. There will be a few spot showers around late this afternoon and evening as an upper level trough provides enough energy for a few raindrops. Highs will be in the upper 70s...middle 70s for the coast where a light seabreeze takes over this afternoon.
We will have a sunny start with fair-weather cumulus building this afternoon. High temperatures will range between the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Otherwise, we will have increasing sunshine and decreasing dewpoints as the afternoon approaches the evening. Highs will be in the lower to middle 80s.
Clouds will continue to increase today as well as the humidity. Highs will reach the middle 80s northwest of town, near 80F in Boston, and in the middle to upper 70s for the Cape/Islands.
Overall, it will be a beautiful day, but we can't rule out a spot shower inland. Highs will be in the lower 80s...70s coast.
Today is going to be a near carbon copy of yesterday. Clouds, showers, rumbles of thunder, and unseasonably cool temperatures top our weather forecast for this Friday. Highs will be in the middle 60s.
A stalled front to our south will continue to be the catalyst for waves of rain in our neighborhoods through the beginning of the weekend. This morning will be cloudy, damp, and dreary before another 'wave' of rain moves in this afternoon. This will produce moderate to heavy pockets of rainfall through early tonight.
A frontal boundary nears New England which will be hanging around for awhile. There will be an increased chance of showers from west to east as the day progresses. Temperatures will also be cooler for this 1st full day of Summer...middle to upper 70s...lower 70s Cape/Islands.
Happy Summer! We are just hours away from the official astronomical 'Summer Solstice 2011'...1:16PM. We will ring in the new season with sunshine and seasonable high temperatures in the lower to middle 80s...70s coast as a seabreeze develops during the mid-afternoon.
Sunshine along with high clouds willl provide a milky appearance today. Highs will be in the lower 80s northwest to near 80F in Boston to middle and upper 70s for the Cape/Islands.
A few peeks of sunshine will appear this morning before clouds dominate the sky. Rain will develop from late morning (~ 10am) through early afternoon (~2pm). The rain (thunder) will include moderate to heavy pockets through this evening. Highs will be in the lower 70s for the Cape/Islands to the middle/upper 70s for Boston/inland.
Way to go, B's! Way to go, Mother Nature! Yes, we are celerbrating 'sunny-style' today! The sunshine accompanied by southwest winds will heat inland areas into the middle and upper 80s...70s Cape/Islands.
Today's weather is much more promising! Clouds will be hanging tough near the coast this morning, but we will all enjoy partly sunny skies this afternoon. Temperatures are finally making a move in the right direction! Highs will be in the middle to upper 70s...near 70F coastal neighborhoods.
Mainly cloudy skies will cover our Tuesday with a few showers. The best chance for these showers is this morning through late-afternoon. However, with an upper level low in control, a spot shower will be possible through the entire day. Highs will remain on the cool side for Mid-June in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
