The children were found just before midnight during a well-being check in the 500 block of West Oak Street.
The victims range in age from 18 to 46.
Police said, around 4:05 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire at 1845 Pierson Parkway, and when they arrived, they found several people running out of a New Year's party.
"All parties and all agree that it's in the best interest of everybody and public safety that we postpone the game," Sugar Bowl CEO Jeff Hundley said Wednesday afternoon.

All three are U.S. citizens, but were visiting relatives in Mexico at the time of the shooting on Friday.
