Chicago River flooding concerns, flash flooding closes expressways

Heavy rain and flooding was not just dangerous for drivers Sunday. Homeowners around the Chicago area are cleaning up a big mess -- flooded basements.
Police said the victim pulled over on the Dan Ryan Expressway at 31st Street to report the shooting.
"Come on out to have some fun, and be safe and celebrated for who you are. That's first and foremost."
Just after 9 p.m., police said the 19-year-old passenger was approached by another man and shot.
Despite a sudden downpour, thousands cheered, marched and just plain had fun at the city's 52nd annual Pride Parade on the North Side.
"When I wake up, I don't like hearing that someone has lost a child, or someone has lost a mom or a father."
The video is so disturbing that we froze it before shots rang out and people hid for cover.
Police said there were 51 shooting incidents, 75 shooting victims, and 13 deaths.
Twanda Carroll said her apartment was left looking like a war zone.
Police were already monitoring the scene, but were called away to an alleged 911 call of a fight that had broken out nearby.
Bally's must still clear additional regulatory hurdles, including a two- to four-day test run of the temporary casino, before getting its necessary permit.
"I feel like our children need positive role models. They need activities and they need to be involved in a variety of different activities because the possibilities are endless when we expose our kids to things."
"I'm just really scared for them. More and more kids are becoming a part of violence because they see a lot of other kids doing it. And it's just, follow the leader."
