A Pontiac mother has pleaded no contest to welfare fraud charges in the investigation of three children left abandoned for years.

Paula Wethington is a digital producer at CBS Detroit. Much of her previous career was as a journalist at The Monroe News in Monroe, Michigan, where she held a number of roles including digital team leader, community news reporter, podcast host and personal finance columnist.
