Matthew Davisson

Matt Davisson is the Executive Producer of Multiplatform Content at CBS News Texas, where he leads the station's daily content strategy across digital, streaming and social media platforms.

He oversees the integration of content across all channels, ensuring audiences receive timely, engaging, platform-specific news wherever they consume it.

An award-winning journalist and digital media leader, Davisson has more than 20 years of experience in broadcast, digital, and social media news. Since beginning his career in the North Texas market in 2007, he has built a reputation for impactful storytelling and leading high-performing content teams across multiple platforms.

Davisson began his journalism career as a newscast producer, earning two Lone Star Emmy Awards for Best Morning Newscast in a large market. He later transitioned to digital journalism, writing news content for online audiences while managing social media platforms for one of the nation's largest news organizations.

In his current role, Davisson also manages a team of Multiskilled Content Producers responsible for video editing and content creation across television, digital, streaming, and social media platforms.

His leadership combines a strong foundation in journalism with a forward-looking approach to audience engagement, helping CBS News Texas connect with audiences across an ever-evolving media landscape.
