The outage center map on SMUD's website states there are 1,476 customers without power, near Calvine Road and Waterman Road. The SMUD website lists "equipment damaged by vehicle" as the reason for the outage.

Police said a man and a woman were killed in the shooting, and five others were injured. The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. on the 400 block of 14th Street.

A person riding on a watercraft at Discovery Bay died on Sunday after it flipped over. The person did not know how to swim and was not wearing a life vest at the time, the sheriff's office said. Two other people on the watercraft were able to swim to safety.

Authorities are investigating after a man was fatally shot Friday night in Sacramento's South Natomas.
The California Highway Patrol said the three men were fixing a tire chain on the side of Highway 50 when they were struck by a driver who had lost control of his vehicle. All three suffered major injuries and were taken to the hospital.
