72-year-old man shot in elbow in West Woodlawn
Police say the man was in the alley, in the 6400 block of South Eberhart just before 4:30 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain in his left elbow.

Police say the man was in the alley, in the 6400 block of South Eberhart just before 4:30 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain in his left elbow.
Chicago police said a car was traveling northbound when it was struck by another vehicle traveling southbound – causing the first car to flip.
Police say the two were in an argument with a known male offender around 12:13 a.m., in the 4700 block of South Springfield Avenue, when he pulled a knife and stabbed the victims.
Authorities said the suspect displayed a note and implied he had a handgun.
The robberies happened between 7:20 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. in the city's Lower West Side, McKinley Park, Back of the Yards, Chicago Lawn, and Gage Park neighborhoods.
This week, New Leash on Life Chicago volunteer Jasmine Villegas stopped by CBS 2 along with eight-and-a-half-year-old Cindy Lou – a Pitbull blend who was rescued over a year ago.
The annual fun run and walk kicked off at 8:30 a.m. Thursday with a kid's race followed by the adult race at 9 a.m.
The ice cakes were decorated with gelatin letters and fish.

A Glendale Heights police sergeant and his wife were killed in an apparent murder-suicide Sunday evening, according to police.
