Subway employee robbed at gunpoint at in Clearing

Fire officials say the call came in just before 5 a.m. in the 4400 block of South Shields Avenue.
Police say around 3:40 a.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle crash, in the 6700 block of South Archer Road. Upon arrival, the officers located an unoccupied vehicle with heavy damage just off the roadway.
The driver of the U-Haul was placed in custody by Illinois State Police.
So far, there haven't been any reports of injuries.
The ages of the victims range from 16 to 72.
Police Chief Lionel Smith said officers heard gunshots at the bar and saw several people running from the establishment.
Fire officials say the fire started in the basement and the rear of the building.
The incident happened around 10:25 p.m. in the 4400 block of West Belmont Avenue.
A witness says they saw three men running away shortly after the crash.
Police say three men would exit a black car displaying handguns and demanding the victim's property, including wallets, purses, and cell phones.
