Jeff joined CBS 11 and TXA 21 in December 2010. He is the senior Meteorologist on staff and can be seen covering various shifts across the week or on the weekend evenings. He also serves as one of the primary reporters for the CBS series "Climate Connection". Jeff visits area schools weekly as part of the Weather on Wheels program.
Born in Lubbock, Jeff spent most of his childhood in Tennessee. He holds a degree in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin as well as a bachelor's degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State. His master's degree in science education comes from the University of Missouri.
Jeff's broadcast career spans over 35 years. Jeff and his wife Fawn (a chiropractor in Colleyville) have two sons. The oldest is serving in Alaska on the USCGC Alex Haley in the Bering Sea. The youngest is finishing up high school and plans for a career in the Coast Guard as a marine biologist.

Cooler temperatures start Wednesday!
Rain is possible late Thursday and Friday.
December cold is back and arrives just in time for the start of the Dallas Marathon.

Freezing or below-freezing temperatures are expected for most of the region Monday morning.
There will be passing showers Saturday night into early Sunday morning, then cold and windy.
Get ready for some rain and colder temperatures because both are on the way.
Next week kicks off with a couple of chillier days, and rain might make a comeback towards the end of the month.
We have storms in the forecast for Monday as a powerful cold front arrives in the afternoon.
Monday looks like clouds with light rain by mid-day. Coverage will be spotty, amounts will be small.
There are plants in our landscape that shouldn't be here. Chinese Privet is a prime example.
Once these perennials get established they require little attention and not much water.
Forget that freeze that started the month. Overnight lows on Sunday will be in the 60s.
Starting Monday, the new standard is most of us are getting home from our work day just as it is getting dark.
