Jaelen Gilkey

Jaelen Gilkey is a multi-skilled journalist and photographer for the CBS Miami Sports team.

Before moving to South Florida, Jaelen spent seven years at WFMY News 2 in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he wore just about every hat in the newsroom - from assignment editor and digital content producer to general assignment reporter and, eventually, Sports Director.

Jaelen brings a deep passion for all sports, but baseball holds a special place in his heart. He played collegiately at the JUCO and Division II levels before completing his undergraduate studies at the illustrious North Carolina A&T State University, his proud alma mater.

Now based in South Florida, Jaelen is excited to share impactful stories that resonate with the region's vibrant communities.
