Inmate dies while in custody in Tarrant County
The inmate was pronounced dead Monday after being taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, according to a Tarrant County Sheriff's Office news release.

The inmate was pronounced dead Monday after being taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, according to a Tarrant County Sheriff's Office news release.
Police believe it was a "targeted shooting toward an individual that resided near this location and one of the shooting suspects."
All five robberies linked to the 36-year-old suspect occurred "just this month," police said in a news release.
While the murder continues to be investigated, police said it is an isolated incident.
Shaun Cross, 38, was found dead March 25 inside an encampment in the 1900 block of Brinker Road, Denton police said.
The backups are due to highway repairs at I-45 and Dowdy Ferry Road, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about 2 a.m. Sunday in the 5100 block of S. Hampton Road, police said.
This is an ongoing investigation.
A final report could take additional days to finish if more surveys are "deemed necessary," the NWS said.

The shooting occurred at an apartment complex in the 2700 block of Lawrence Road and near NE Green Oaks Boulevard and North Collins Street.
Officers responded to the scene about 10:30 p.m. and found the victim with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
The accident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday.
According to the Southlake Police Department, six cows in possible contact with the deceased animal have been quarantined.
The man remains in custody after being charged with 13 counts of theft of a firearm/enhanced.
