The shooting was reported in the area of Arrow Highway and Irwindale Avenue at about 1:34 a.m. Tuesday.
The boy ran out into the street before he was struck, police said.
Police did not release any suspect information.
The blaze spanned about 55 acres by Saturday evening.
The suspect was taken into custody, the LAPD said.
Police arrested alleged thief Armean Shirehjini and suspected getaway driver Andranik Avetisyan on Friday afternoon.
