Haley, DeSantis battle for second place in Iowa

With former President Donald Trump projected to win the Iowa caucuses after consistently topping the polls leading up the contest, the big question for many was who would come in second place and how strong a showing would they have. Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis were fairly even in the polls leading up to Iowa, with Haley pulling ahead in the final days before the caucuses. Ed O'Keefe has more.

Haley could "shatter the presumptions," Sununu says

New Hampshire voters will go to the polls next week, eight days after Republicans hold their first nominating contest with the Iowa caucuses. New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu, a moderate Republican who has backed former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley for the GOP nomination, tells "Face the Nation" that Haley "has the chance to shatter the presumptions that Donald Trump is going to run away with this — and that happens right here in New Hampshire."

Biden campaign not yet worried about 2024 election polling

As a new CBS News poll shows President Biden trailing all three top Republican contenders — including former President Donald Trump, who Mr. Biden defeated in 2020 — Ed O'Keefe tells "Face the Nation" that the Biden campaign is not yet worried. The Biden campaign believes Trump will ultimately be the GOP nominee, with some in his camp questioning Nikki Haley's viability. "Once that binary choice is before the American people again, the White House believes they'll be able to win it," O'Keefe said.
