The MTA is buying a fleet of buses from New Jersey Transit ahead of congestion pricing going into effect. The 15 buses worth $100,000 will provide maintenance parts for an existing fleet and aims to improve express service to Brooklyn and Staten Island.
Unused New Jersey Transit tickets will now expire within certain time frames. The new policy starts July 1. Any one-way tickets purchased on or after that date will be valid for only 30 days. Any tickets bought prior to July 1 will officially expire on July 31, regardless of their original date of purchase.
