Officers responded to a disturbance inside the residence and found the victim, a 59-year-old man, with a gunshot wound to the stomach.
The victim told the officers he was shot by the offender, a 55-year-old woman, who was still on the scene. She was placed in custody, and a weapon was recovered.
Chicago police say a man, 36, was driving northbound in the southbound lanes in the 6900 block of S. South Shore Drive just after midnight when he struck a woman's car.
Thieves broke into six businesses, including five restaurants, on the city's North and South Sides overnight.
Four restaurants, one café, and a retail store were targeted between midnight and 5 a.m., according to police.
The shooting happened just before midnight in the 2400 block of East 91st Street.
Chicago police said the victim was shot twice in the arm and once in the chest. He then hit multiple parked cars before jumping a curb and stopping near 90th and Yates.
He was found with no shirt, green shorts, and black sandals.
Police said three men were near the sidewalk when they were approached by the four suspects, who pulled out handguns and fired shots.
The shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. in the 7400 block of South State Street in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood.
