It happened Monday morning around 10:55 in the 4400 block of W. Monroe Street.
The ages of the victims range from 16 to 60.
The victim suffered two gunshot wounds to the abdomen and one to the left leg and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
Following an extensive search of the hotel, one person of interest was taken into custody.
Kenneth Mosby, 23, of Chicago was arrested on Thursday, in the 2100 block of South First Avenue in Maywood.
Daeshawn Hill, 21, of Chicago, was charged with one felony count of first-degree murder.
One person was shot in a hotel in Oakbrook Terrace.
A man was charged after a 9-month-old girl was shot in a McDonald's parking lot in East Garfield Park last month.

The suspect, Jason Eaton, is accused of shooting and wounding three 20-year-old men of Palestinian descent.

Police say around 3:40 a.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle crash, in the 6700 block of South Archer Road. Upon arrival, the officers located an unoccupied vehicle with heavy damage just off the roadway.
The incident happened around 10:25 p.m. in the 4400 block of West Belmont Avenue.
Police Chief Lionel Smith said officers heard gunshots at the bar and saw several people running from the establishment.
A liquor store employee was hurt after being shot during an attempted armed robbery in Kilbourn Park Friday night.
Three people were hurt following a shooting at a bar in Dixmoor Saturday morning. Police Chief Lionel Smith in a statement said around 3:17 a.m., officers heard gunshots at Maddie's, located at 14301 S. Wood St. Upon arrival, officers saw several people running from the establishment.
Two of the victims were struck by one of the robbers. Another victim, an employee at a liquor store, was shot in the shoulder during one of the robberies.
Chicago police say officers responded to the store where they found a man, 46, who suffered from a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
The victims, 23, and 26, sitting in a parked car, in the 1300 block of South Throop Street around 2 a.m., when someone from a silver sedan fired shots, police said.
A 23-year-old man is in critical condition and a 26-year-old man is in fair condition.
