Just before 2:30 a.m., the driver was on Belmont Avenue just west of Ashland and Lincoln avenues when police two men got out of a black sedan and demanded money and his car.
Robbers smashed and ransacked a display case at a Jewelry store in Arlington Heights. The thieves hit Wednesday afternoon at Persin and Robbin Jewelry Store on South Dunton Avenue.
Police say the victim was sitting in his vehicle when three black males exited a black Chevy SUV.
A man is charged after robbing and carjacking another man in West Garfield Park back in August.
The victim was not struck. The would-be robber was shot in the leg.
