The Chicago Pride Parade is returning to the area on and around North Halsted Street this weekend after a two-year hiatus, but there are some safety concerns.

After a week of back and forth, the parade is back on for this Sunday.

Aurora Pride said it could not bring the required number officers on board "despite... tireless efforts."
The Aurora Pride Parade has already been mired in controversy involving the police department for a separate reason.
The Pride train will run as part of the CTA's regular service through fall.
The Chicago Public Library all month is offering an array of online programs.
This year's theme was unity, equality and visibility.
Pride comes in many forms, as do changemakers.
It was a historic moment as the LGBTQ+ Pride Flag was hoisted in the air outside St. Charles' city hall, a sign for many in the community that it's okay to be their true selves.
