About 4 p.m. Tuesday, 29-year-old Kashif Tillis was in a vehicle in the 7200 block of South Morgan Street when a black coupe pulled up and someone inside opened fire, striking him several times.
About 10:20 p.m., firefighters responded to the 3000 block of South Morgan Street for a garage fully engulfed in flames, Steger Fire Chief Nowell Fillion said. The fire also spread to two homes -- heavily damaging one and causing exterior damage to the other.
Louis Winn, 56, was stabbed in the chest at his home in the 10000 block of South Morgan Street at 9:10 p.m.
