Former White Sox broadcaster Ken "Hawk" Harrelson said the choice to cancel the 2020 Hall of Fame induction weekend due to the coronavirus pandemic was "absolutely the right decision."
"They're going to have a lot of fun," Harrelson says of White Sox and Cubs fans.
Harrelson will retire from the broadcast booth after the 2018 season, during which he'll work a reduced 20-game schedule.
"I'm only saying stuff that everybody knows who goes there," Harrelson says.
Harrelson floated the idea of retaliation by the White Sox against Lackey.
Hawk is a character, and baseball needs characters.
"I have never worked a day in my life," Harrelson said many times of his nearly 60-year career in baseball.
"Put it this way: It's that time,'' Harrelson says.

The award winner will be announced Dec. 5.
"Batting averages can really be skewed," Harrelson says.
"In essence, we played a month-and-a-half with only one off day," Harrelson says.

Harrelson will call 78 road games and three home games, Bruce Levine reports.
"It's going to be a real fun year," White Sox play-by-play man Harrelson says.
