Around 4 a.m. Saturday, police were called to a condo in the 1100 block of Miller Lane in Buffalo Grove, after a woman woke up to find a strange man straddling her on her bed. She immediately began fighting him off, and he ran out of the condo through an open patio door.
The man, 20, was shot shortly after 2 a.m. near 116th Street and Stewart Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said. Witnesses told police they heard five or six shots and saw two males running away from the scene of the shooting.
Bolingbrook police said they were called to First Midwest Bank, 450 N. Bolingbrook Dr., around noon after a man entered the bank, wearing a mask, and announced a robbery. A female teller in her 20s was shot in the arm during the robbery.
