The most recent fatal shooting happened Sunday afternoon in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.
Latoya Frost, 32, was arrested early Saturday after she sexually assaulted a 6-year-old girl and forced her to perform several sex acts, according to Cook County prosecutors. Frost had locked the first-floor bedroom door and lodged a chair under the doorknob so nobody could get inside.
The three men implied they had a weapon during robberies.
Sometime between Sept. 24 and Oct. 7, the girl was leaving the store about 4 p.m. when a masked male grabbed her from behind and pulled her into an alley in the 700 block of North Lawndale Avenue, according to an alert from Chicago Police. He then sexually assaulted her for roughly 20 minutes before running off toward Ridgeway Avenue.
The Park Forest Police Department is warning residents that leaving cars running and unattended is an ordinance violation and it will be enforced.
The woman ran away in fear and the suspect drove off in her vehicle, police said. No injuries were reported, and the suspect did not appear to have a weapon.
