At the Collin County Republican Party meeting Monday night, supporters gave Attorney General Ken Paxton a hero's welcome weeks after he was acquitted by the Texas Senate of impeachment articles.
The attorney general's impeachment and acquittal are both historic: he's only the third state official to be impeached and the only one not convicted.
"Everything is on the table for me," Paxton said.
"I don't agree with the Senate's verdict, but I have to live with it."
Patrick wants to determine the absolute cost to Texas from preparations to the conclusion of the trial.
"Attorney General, Kenneth Warren Paxton Junior, is hereby, at this moment, reinstated to office."
Abraham George says Saturday's vote will impact the primaries for several Republican house members.
