SF police arrest person suspected of setting fires inside building; 2 injured
Officers arrived at the 300 block of Turk Street just before 7 a.m. and were told that someone inside the residential building was setting objects on fire, police said.

Officers arrived at the 300 block of Turk Street just before 7 a.m. and were told that someone inside the residential building was setting objects on fire, police said.
The fire department said nearby businesses were temporarily evacuated and that the fire was knocked down just before 10:45 a.m.
Stockton police said someone shot at three people who were sitting inside a vehicle, seriously injuring two of them.
Around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, police in Midtown saw people in the area reporting that someone had been shot near the 2700 block of J Street.
Around 6:45 p.m. Friday, officers began to receive calls about a solo-motorcycle crash near Noonan and Cement Hill Road.
The Sheriff's Department said the correctional officer used a medical appointment as a pretense to take the female inmate, but actually took her to Olivehurst, which is where the sexual assault allegedly happened.
Oakland Police are asking for help identifying two people wanted in connection with a 2021 deadly home invasion robbery.
An Urban Alchemy spokesperson said Joey Alexander had been working in front of the SF Main Library for over two years as part of the outreach team. And it was there that he was shot while asking someone to stop doing drugs, the nonprofit said.
A suspect was arrested in connection with the Sept. 26 shooting, and his charges will be changed as the victim has died, San Francisco police said.
Vallejo police on Monday said a woman who was pushed into oncoming traffic on Sept. 15 died over the weekend.

Around 8:50 p.m., three vehicles were involved in a crash on Albers Road, south of Valk Road, which is about 4 miles south of Oakdale.
The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with officers, and neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be a factor, police said.

Metro Fire said neighbors were the ones who called 911, and that they helped confirm the home was empty.
