The quake happened at about 1:44 p.m., and it hit near Canyon Side Avenue and Canyon Green Drive, with a depth of almost 5 miles.
Around 3:20 a.m., 13 rail cars derailed near Highway 174 and Narrow Gauge Road in Colfax, Union Pacific said.
Police said that just before 2 a.m., a vehicle hit a pedestrian near North First Street and Technology Place.
The rider of the electric unicycle was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
