Stockton Police arrest man suspected of arson after hours-long standoff

Police said the suspect allegedly set fire to his backyard before barricading himself in a nearby home.
Modesto Fire said they initially received reports that a vehicle had crashed into a home and caused a fire. However, they later learned that fireworks exploded in the garage and were the source of a small fire.
Road closures will begin just after midnight on the Embarcadero, and the rolling closures will begin in the northbound direction of the Embarcadero.
