Pedestrian hit, killed by Metra BNSF train near Berwyn
According to Metra, the pedestrian was struck by the train near Oak Park at the Berwyn stop just before 10:30 a.m.

According to Metra, the pedestrian was struck by the train near Oak Park at the Berwyn stop just before 10:30 a.m.
The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North Peirua Street in the Fulton Market District.
It's unclear what led to both crashes and the identities of the victims were not released.
The NASCAR Chicago Street Race for 2025 will be held in and around Grant Park on July 5 and 6.
The incidents happened within an hour on the Southwest and Northwest Sides.
A witness told them they found the victim in a basement bedroom.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his back and was taken to Christ Hospital in good condition.
The ages of the victims range from 15 to 53.
Chicago police said the teens, 16-18, were inside the residence when an unknown person shot them.
Residents of those apartments received assistance for alternate temporary housing through relatives and friends or the Town of Cicero Department of General Assistance.
The 69-year-old man was pronounced dead at 4:14 a.m. Sunday by medical staff.
It is unclear how many people were killed or what caused the crash.
Multiple sources told CBS News Chicago that those held by ICE Sunday have active warrants.
A Skokie fire department captain said four people were involved in the crash, and crews had to pull two people from the cars.
Upon arrival, the fire was seen through basement windows that spread beyond the dryer. Fire officials said smoke was also coming out the front door from the basement.
