Pedestrian killed when car veers off road in Playa del Rey crash
It happened at around 7:10 p.m. in the 8200 block of Vista Del Mar, near the shoreline, Los Angeles Fire Department officials said.

It happened at around 7:10 p.m. in the 8200 block of Vista Del Mar, near the shoreline, Los Angeles Fire Department officials said.
It happened a little after 8:15 p.m. about six miles northwest of the beach city, close to Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach, according to the United States Geological Survey.
Investigators say that the car lost it's Honda emblem at the scene and that it likely suffered severe front-end damage and windshield damage in the collision.
The crash, paired with spewing water from a sheared fire hydrant, caused the roof of the store to collapse inwards.
Authorities say that the body was discovered at around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
It happened at around 2:15 a.m. at a home in the 800 block of S. Flower Street, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
It happened back on Feb. 23 near Elizabeth Lake Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The bodies were found at a home in the 300 block of N. Twintree Avenue at around 2 p.m., according to LASD homicide investigators.
Investigators have not revealed a motive for the stabbing.
Deputies were called to the 44700 block of Stanridge Avenue after receiving calls of a "child not breathing" at around 7 a.m. on Saturday.
It happened at around 5:55 p.m. at the McDonald's located near Figueroa Avenue and Avenue 26, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
