Police fatally shot a woman in South Gate on Monday afternoon, hours after she was allegedly involved in a shooting at a Huntington Beach business that left a man hospitalized.

Ashli Lopez, 42, was last seen on June 20 at around 11:30 a.m. in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood, according to Los Angeles County deputies.

Detectives say that the two victims were shot when they checked on their car, parked in an alley in the 8000 block of S. Hooper Avenue, after hearing its alarm blaring.
The agents waited outside of the family's home for several hours after the incident, according to San Bernardino police.
The family says the mountain lion was immediately spooked upon entering their home, taking off through the backdoor.
