Machete-wielding man kills one, wounds another in downtown Los Angeles, police say

The shooting happened on 20th Street near the Newport Beach Pier, according to police.
A man and woman flipped their kayaks on Castaic Lake on Sunday afternoon. Crews rescued the woman but have not yet found the man.
