Man riding electric scooter dies after being hit by car in Long Beach

The shooting happened a little after 4:05 p.m. in the 17400 block of Chatsworth Street, according to Los Angeles Police Department investigators.

The crash happened at around 1:45 p.m. on Oct. 29, 2023, when a white SUV struck and killed Dianna Hernandez near the intersection of Long Beach Ave. and 48th Pl., according to Los Angeles Police Department.
It was reported at around 5:45 p.m. in the 3200 block of Gladys Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Police say that the incident began as a fight between roommates but escalated into a physical altercation early Sunday.
The driver refused to exit the allegedly stolen vehicle after pulling into a dead end behind a business near Gaffey St. and Sepulveda Blvd.
Ephraim Hunter, 29, who remains in custody, was charged with one count of felony first-degree residential burglary with person present and one felony count of vandalism of $400 or more in damage or destruction of property.
A known gang member, 47-year-old Raymundo Duran, was charged with attempted murder and plead not guilty Monday for the shooting of Deputy Samuel Aispuro in the back.
The person was stuck while canyoneering in a slot canyon with a waterfall in the Angeles National Forest, LASD said.
The 71-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The intruder smashed a glass door of the Hancock Park home early Sunday morning to gain entry, police said.
