Her career also includes significant work in Louisiana, where she won two Louisiana Association of Broadcasters Awards in 2020. Chelsea extensively covered the 2019 governor's race, including live coverage of President Donald Trump's visit to the state and election night as incumbent Governor John Bel Edwards won re-election.
A graduate of the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism, Chelsea is deeply committed to community-focused journalism. She has moderated important panels discussing the impact of women in politics, economics, and culture, as well as topics around equity and social justice.
