The earthquake was reported at about 11:19 a.m. Saturday, according to the USGS.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said deputies discovered five firearms, including two assault-style weapons, in Perryman's vehicle.
The terms of the deal weren't immediately clear as of Saturday morning.
The suspect hopped the property's gate and broke a window but did not make entry into the home, police said.
The advisory remained in effect along the coast between Santa Barbara and Humboldt counties, the NWS confirmed at 6:20 a.m.
