The attack by two Columbine seniors killed 12 fellow students and a teacher. It may have set the stage for the school shootings that haunt us to this very day. Barry Petersen reports.

Saturday will mark 20 years since the shooting at Columbine High School. CBS News brought together five survivors, each with their own story. Each has their own powerful lesson they are passing on. They spoke with "CBS Evening News" anchor Jeff Glor.

Nearly 20 years later, we asked members of the Columbine community – Amy Over, Kacey Johnson, and Tom Mauser, father of Daniel – to write letters to their younger selves and reflect on the two decades since the shooting.
