Bezos claims Saudi Arabia hacked his phone

The Guardian reports that Jeff Bezos is blaming Saudi Arabia for hacking his phone last year after an investigation he ordered apparently drew links between a personal message sent from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the malware that caused the hack. Behind The Headlines: The disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi

Jamal Khashoggi, a writer for The Washington Post who has written columns critical of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, last week and has not been seen since. U.S. intelligence reportedly intercepted Saudi communications portending a plot to detain Khashoggi, while Turkish officials have said they feared he has been murdered. Correspondent Holly Williams reports on the investigation into Khashoggi's apparent death, and how the Trump administration is responding.

Trump touts Saudi Arabia partnership

President Trump addressed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit to Saudi Arabia as part of his trip to the Middle East. Mr. Trump boasted about close ties between the U.S. and the Arab kingdom and called for a strong partnership to deal with Iran and other foreign adversaries in the region. Mr. Trump also called for an end to U.S. sanctions on Syria and for more focus on Lebanon's economic growth. CBS News' Courtney Kealy and Aaron Navarro have more.
