Salt trucks were called to the intersection of 27th and Poplar streets in Philadelphia's Fairmount neighborhood early Monday morning after a water main break spilled water into the street.

Some residents are evacuating their homes Monday morning after a water main break in Norristown. The city's fire department said just after 4 a.m. that due to a large water main break at Penn and Cherry streets, northbound Markley Street is flooded and closed at Main, Penn, Cherry and Ann streets.
Water has been restored to dozens of residents in Philadelphia's Holmesburg neighborhood. A six-inch main broke sending water gushing onto the street. There were no reports of any residential flooding from this break.
A water main break that caused part of Kings Highway to buckle has been fixed and the road was repaired.
