As Officer Fitzgerald's family continues to grieve, they're also opening up about the man he was and how they want him to be remembered.
The community showed strength numbers at the Bell Tower.
After a few questions, Temple University officials were quickly escorted to a waiting elevator and refused to take reporters' questions.
Police said they've obtained video but aren't releasing it.
Sources say statements by the suspect's brother provided a clearer pathway to locating Miles Pfeffer.
Near 17th and Montgomery, where Officer Chris Fitzgerald was shot and killed, is now a growing memorial.
"We definitely not going to leave Chris' legacy behind," a member of Black Men Run Philly said.
Chris Fitzgerald will be laid to rest at the Forest Hills Cemetery in Huntingdon Valley, Montgomery County.
The residence belongs to the suspect's mother, who was home during the arrest. She was also taken into custody for questioning.
The suspect, 18-year-old Miles Pfeffer, was arrested in Buckingham Township, Bucks County.
"It's hard to put into words what we're all experiencing," the president of Temple University's Police Association said.
The incident happened just off Temple's campus on the 1700 block of W. Montgomery Avenue on Saturday night.
Temple officials say one of their officers was shot on West Montgomery Avenue near 17th Street. The officer later died at Temple University Hospital Saturday night.
