There probably isn't much that can pick up Vikings kicker Blair Walsh right now, not after he missed a 27-yard field goal attempt in the closing seconds of Minnesota's 10-9 wild-card loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
To borrow from Charles Dickens, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Depending on which radio station you were listening to, Blair Walsh's missed 27-yard field goal knocking Minnesota out of the NFL playoffs sounded like either the epoch of belief or the epoch of incredulity.
