This Giving Tuesday and as part of Colorado Gives Day, we are highlighting the life-changing work done by Raise the Future. The nonprofit organization connects foster children with permanent families by using child-focused recruitment, adoption resources, and long-term family support.
National Adoption Day is celebrated in many of Colorado's judicial districts in November, with judges and magistrates across Colorado finalizing the adoptions of dozens of foster children into permanent, loving families.
Adams County celebrated the adoption of seven children into five families in its National Adoption Day event.
At any given time there are about 300 children in foster care in Colorado who are eligible for adoption.
