2026 marks Colorado's 150th anniversary, and CBS Colorado is proud to tell the stories that have shaped our state. We'll honor our history -- the people, places, and defining moments of the past -- while celebrating the voices, cultures, and institutions of today. And we'll look ahead, highlighting the ideas, innovations, and leaders shaping Colorado's next 150 years.
Our 150th anniversary is a meaningful moment to come together -- honoring our history, celebrating what makes Colorado unique, and looking ahead as we continue building stronger, more connected communities.
CBS Colorado is proud to support the State of Colorado, History Colorado and other community and cultural partners during this anniversary year. You can learn more about statewide events, programs and initiatives at historycolorado.org/colorado-150
As part of CBS Colorado's commitment to this year-long commemoration and our Colorado communities, CBS Colorado is partnering with Colorado Preservation, Inc.'s Endangered Places Program to raise awareness and funds for the state's threatened resources to include its historic bridges, heritage landscapes, and buildings that require long-term preservation and support.
By focusing on contributions to CPI and the Endangered Places Program, the public and CBS Colorado will play a role in saving these historic structures that have served an important role and have connected communities in Colorado for many years. Donations to this campaign will be collected through December 31, 2026.
CBS Colorado will also partner with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver to help build a stronger future for Colorado families through affordable homeownership opportunities. Through this partnership, CBS Colorado is raising awareness and support for Griffith Station Homes in Arvada, a new 20-unit affordable homeownership development. By volunteering at Griffith Station Homes and supporting Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, CBS Colorado and viewers can help create lasting opportunities for hardworking families to build stability, strength, and self-reliance through homeownership. Viewers are invited to join CBS Colorado as volunteers on the build site. Pre-registration is required to volunteer and volunteers must be at least 16 years old. To help support Habitat's mission through a donation, visit Habitat Metro Denver's website.
