The snowfall didn't seem to let up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago where Noel Brennan spoke with residents who were digging their way out.
CBS 2's Marybel Gonzalez reports from the northern suburb of Hoffman Estates, where the snow has stopped falling but the wet conditions are forcing drivers to go slow on roadways.
Parents said they were grateful for the level of communication they had with the staff at Wildwood.

"Once this snow stops, hopefully overnight into the morning, and it slows down, and then the product and the traffic will take care of itself, we'll get to those neighborhood residential streets," Streets and Sanitation Commissioner Cole Stallard said.
While snow is obviously an important factor, it's also about wind and visibility.
The Department of Streets and Sanitation has deployed over 200 plow trucks and salt spreaders across the city to help prevent hazardous roadways in neighborhoods, bridges, and overpasses.
