A man convicted of killing a Chicago police officer in 2011 will soon walk free after his conviction was overturned on Wednesday because of misconduct by prosecutors at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.
One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash during a police chase Tuesday morning on the South Side. Police said, around 2 a.m., officers investigating robberies near 55th and Pulaski saw two people, believed to be armed, getting into a black Lexus sedan.
