People living near two of the town's six air-raid sirens did not hear them go off at all, and five nights later, those two sirens were still malfunctioning.

"It was also discovered there was an issue with the communication to the 911 Center," police said.
Officials in Highland, Indiana, said two tornado sirens were found to be malfunctioning after a tornado touched down in the town on Wednesday.
First responders later located the missing man, 73, in the water, and he was pronounced dead.
Part of the roof at Frankie Woods McCullough Academy, a public school located at 3757 W. 21st Ave., was torn off, damaging the gymnasium and several classrooms.
While property damage and power outages were widespread after three tornadoes touched down in Gary Wednesday night, there were no fatalities or major injuries reported. Andrew Ramos reports.
