The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as a 35-year-old man, died from his injuries.
The people in the vehicle were wanted in connection with an armed robbery in the south suburbs.

Funeral services were held Friday morning for Illinois State Police trooper Clay Carns, who was hit and killed by a truck just two days before Christmas.

Around 12:45 a.m., a state police trooper's squad car was parked in the right lane of I-55 southbound at Route 83 with its emergency lights activated.
According to Illinois State Police, troopers responded to the multi-vehicle crash south of 127th Street just before 5:20 a.m.
Sources said they believe the driver may have been thrown from the vehicle, and was then hit by a FedEx truck.
