Chicago’s new rules on buses carrying migrants was intended to bring order to chaos – as migrants were showing up in Chicago from the nation’s southern border at any given time, without notice. But some bus operators are now just dropping off migrants in the suburbs instead. CBS 2's Charlie De Mar reports.
The Aurora City Council approved an ordinance on Friday aimed at preventing buses from dropping off migrants without any notice. It came as the western suburb received its sixth bus of migrants in the past two days. Other suburbs have reported receiving buses with migrants.
It comes as police shuttled dozens of migrants from the suburbs to the city's office of emergency management center.
Robinson-Chan is the department's first Black female sergeant, lieutenant, and commander. She retires after 30 years of service.

A neighborhood in Aurora has had enough of the noise and the smell. They say it comes from a meal-kit company that moved nearby. Neighbors who've been concerned for years spoke to CBS 2's Noel Brennan.
Aurora police said Derrick Jordan is charged in the murder of Martin Pegues, also of Aurora, but did not provide other details.
While free, they ask for donations at the end. $80,000 was raised last year for Aurora non-profits.
